It depends on how faithful you are to changing
their pads. We have two and three playpens in
our living room with litters of 3-5 in each playpen. We change the piddle pads with each
new ordor. They never seem to go all at the same
time. But we keep incense sticks burning in the
room when seems to correct the problem.
Quick changing of the pads eliminates the problem
Also keeping a candle burning helps but nothing
like the incense.

To be honest, if your worried abotu a clean house and smells I will tell you now once you get more then one or two dogs your going to have problems. I have 19 chihuahuas and even though I run a carpet washing machine with bleach water once a week and change my puppy pads daily, and use bottles of fabreeze...we still do get smells, it's the nature of the beast. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
If your a person who can't handle smells and untidiness....then save yourself now and don't get into breeding.
