I am going to be spending a lot of time at the lake this summer and i was wondering if it would be ok if my chihuahua swam with me. If i kept a life jacket on her would it be ok? What are the risks for an ear infection. She is almost 5 months old now.

My experience with our Chihuahuas is that 90% of
our family do not like water. Especially cool
water. When bathing with the warm water they
tolerate but some actually fight through the
entire bath due to their dislike of the water.
Your baby might just like sunbathing on the side
of your pool in his/her own beach towel. Your
baby would be included in your pleasure but not
drowned in it.ha ha Ours love to lay by the pool
and just sun.

leave the chi at home and get a spaniel or retriever.
