There is no such thing a a "teacup chihuahua" the term was coined for breeders to sell smaller chihuahuas that were not of breed standard (2-6pounds). I cation you that many of these small dogs have huge health problems.

Jamie you are so right. I read up on it becasue every body was contacting me and saying do u have teacups.Akc says a norn. chihuahua is any where from 3-6 lbs. I have had a few that were 2-2.5 wehen grown. I sold one and kept the other simp,y because she was always sick. Hypoglycemia all the time her body didt go with her head eyes buldged she had liver problems she was cute but very sick she finally died at 1.5 half yrs. My vet called her a birth defect said nornamally the moms abort these.I am with you its just a way for people to make money off of people. But if they only knew what they were getting in to.

all chihuahuas within standard and able to be registered must be between 2 and 6 lbs...any breeder registering dogs under 2 lbs is shaddy and any breeder registering dogs over 6 is shaddy...check your standard.
