A Visitor asked the following question on 8/8/2005
I was given a registered chihuahua 8 mos ago for my birthday and from the very beginning Lucy has been so sick. I have seen neurologists, etc and currently she has a liver shunt which I give medicine and controlled diet every single day.I did not think, nor the doctors, she would even live this long after many nights up all night long. She is sick again and sometimes I have to wonder if she is suffering. My only guess is that the breeder was irresponsible and it makes me sick. I received her bloodline from AKC (where you register them) for 3 generations back but I have no idea what to even do with it or if it even really matters at this point. Do these tiny little dogs ever have to be put asleep? I don't want her to suffer. I love her and this is truely breaking my heart. I have no children except my two dogs. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
