What is the prognosis when you repair the cherry eye via surgery? Will the gland 'pop' out again?

1/7/08 Cherry is is where the tear duct has moved out of alignment in the 3rd eye lid. It is common with dogs who have bulging eye... ie Cocker spaniels, boston terriers, cavalier spaniels, ect. The surgery realigns the tear duct and since it is done after growning is through there is not the cherry eye problem again. Ginger
