I am just wondering what the average number of puppies a basset has? And also aprox. age a female comes into heat? I have a 9 month that hasn't came in yet.

Hi, from my past experience with our bassets they usually have around 8 pups. A female usually comes into heat between the ages of 9 and 13 months. Good Luck!!!
