In the future I plan to get a cat but I also want a dog. So my question is if I get a cat will this breed of dog be ok with it?

Usually if you get a Basenji puppy and you tell your breeder that you have a cat, your breeder will help you pick the right puppy for your situation. Typically puppy's raised with cats do just fine
