Do Brittany's shed? If so, please describe the level of shedding.

Yes they do shed but not near the level of golden's or labs. An intact female will shed quite a bit either before or after her heat cycle but spayed/neutered will not be much of a problem.
I am allergic to labs, beagles and many other short coated dogs and never had a problem with Brittany's. They don't typically have a doggy smell and require a brushing every couple of weeks or monthly bath unless they get into something muddy or need burs removed from being out hunting, then need immediate attention to remove from the coat.
