Can anyone offer any advice regarding this issue. We have a loveable but shy and I must add stubborn female that will be a year old in mid Jan. She hates riding in the vehicle...especially our truck. When you talk about it she literally gets up and moves away from you. On leash she will jump in on command but once you stop and go to open the door she pretty much bolts. She shakes and the look of fear is in her eyes when she first gets in but after a few minutes she is okay and eventually sleeps but does try to fight that. No interest in looking out the window at all. Any comments on helping to get her to enjoy it would be appreciated.

1/20/06 My border collie Flicka rarely looks out the window. She just sleeps the entire trip. My coyote had a TERRIBLE time getting used to travel. But I solved that quickly. Each tie we went some place I'd stop and get a really yummy treat for her. Like a plain hamburger through a drive through or some chicken gizzards or something. Soon you had to drag her OUT of the vehicle instead of dragging her IN! LOL Sussie
