12/12/04 HI THERE, I HAVE A FEMALE BOXER WHO HAD A HUGE PROBLEM WITH JUMPING ON PEOPLE. I LEARNED THAT WHEN YOU FRIST COME INTO YOUR HOME THEY ARE HAPPY TO SEE YOU AND EXSPECT PETTING AND LOVING. WHEN YOU FIRST GET HOME DO NOT PET HIM WALK ON THREW THE DOOR LIKE HE IS NOT THERE, AFTER YOU SIT DOWN HE SHOULD BE CALMER AT THIS TIME AND GO AHEAD AND LOVE HIM. AFTER ABOUT 1-2 WEEKS ARE DOING THIS HE SHOULD GET THE IDEA THAT OKAY ONCE I CALM DOWN I GET MY LOVING. TRY IT OUT AND LET ME KNOW. AS ARE AS GETTING ANOTHER DOG IT MIGHT BE A REALLY GOOD IDEA, HE MAY WANT TO PLAY WITH THE PUPPY AND NOT WITH PEOPLE COMING THREW THE DOOR. TAKE CAUTION IN INTRODUCING HIM TO ANOTHER PUPPY. HE MAY WANT TO JUMP ON HIM AND SQUASH HIM. BUT IF YOU TAKE THE TIME AND HOLD THE NEW PUPPY WHILE THEY GET TO KNOW EACHOTHER. LET THEM PLAY TOGETHER WHILE YOU ARE WATCHING. MOST BOXERS TAKE YOUNGER ONES IN AS THEIR OWN. Ashley
