A Visitor asked the following question on 1/28/2008
We have had out Female Brindle Boxer for 1 week today and she has been gagging really bad for the past 3 days, we called the breeder to find out what was wrong with her brother because he was doing the same thing and he told us the Vet said he has an enlarged pallet that he might grow into or eventually have surgery, so he is gagging on the roof of his mouth. Is this common for boxers?

An elongated palate is not unheard of in the breed, but it's not extremely common, either. It is more common in smaller brachycephalic breeds like French Bulldogs, I think, so you might find more information on those websites.
