First of all, Boxers do not tolerate HEAT well ! They enjoy laying in the sun but can not be out in EXTREAM Temperture HOT or COLD ! Second, MY BOXER HAS AN EXCELLENT PEDIGREE, AKC REG AND I WOULD HAVE HIM GENETICALLY TESTED TO PROVE HE IS PURE BRED BOXER( AND YES FOLKS HE IS BLACK & WHITE NOT ANOTHER COLOR ON HIS BODY ANY WHERE)

6/3/07 Boxers are OK in moderate heat if there isn't much humidity; but no, they do not do well in extreme conditions. Genetic testing at this time cannot determine purebred status, only that the dogs listed as parents are (or are not) actually the parents. Boxers do not carry the gene for a solid black coat color (regardless of white markings). A solid black 'Boxer', therefore, must have another breed somewhere in the pedigree (possibly a few generations back, and possibly without the breeder realizing it). Jennifer

6/21/07 the black color could just be a reverse brindle, and she maybe is just getting that confused. Renee
