That depends on a) which breed you mean by "pitbull" and b) to which traits you're referring. Boxers are like the breeds commonly called "pitbulls" in some ways, primarily in that they're medium-sized and short-haired, good family dogs, and have some shared ancestry, but they're unlike many of the "pitbull" myths that are floating around out there. (So are the breeds commonly called "pitbulls", however!)
