Our Belgian Malinois has an ear tatoo "TAS 237", in dark blue ink. We have been told that this may be a European identity mark. Can you provide any information as to the possible origin of this dog?

I can only offer this ,We tattoo all of our pups with a tattoo that identifys them to us and our records.
Most Kennels have a system of how they tatoo their pups. Ours is a letter and number combo. It could be any system the breeder used. Sorry I couldnt help more.
