How do I get my beagle to stop chewing on the wrong things

Beagles need lots of attention. All dogs have a natural chewing need. Provide items for your dog that are okay to chew on and give praise when this occurs. Try to avoid punishment for chewing on the wrong things. If your dog is young, this will be a very trying time, but it will eventually get better. The best solution is attention, attention, attention.
