I was looking for a blond masked Afghan, breeder sent pictures of puppies that looked very dark and said they would be blond by the time they are 6 weeks old.

blond masked? do u mean domino?or blond colored pup with self colored mask?Generally if pup has a black mask it is going to stay. If u refer to body color, yes it is quite likely the dark body hair may lighten dramatically.
