One Year Congenital Defect Guarantee: In the event the puppy is found to have a congenital defect that is life-threatening, crippling, requires routine management by medication, or is fatal (proven by examination/documentation in writing by a veterinarian/specialist), the Breeder will replace the puppy with the same gender/quality when one becomes available (Breeder cannot guarantee color will be the same as the aforementioned puppy). No money will be offered as replacement for puppy. If puppy is alive, proof of spay/neuter in writing from a veterinarian must be provided to Breeder prior to replacement. Breeder is not liable for any conditions not listed in this contract as guaranteed, including conformation, cherry eye, hernia, heart murmur, teeth, size/weight, reproductive disorders, reproductive organs, coat and/or skin conditions. Buyer agrees the puppy’s temperament is suitable at the time of sale; there is no guarantee on temperament after Buyer purchases the puppy. All health guarantees are null and void if any portion of this agreement is breached by the Buyer. Health guarantees are not transferable to third parties.
Buyer agrees to take good and reasonable care of the puppy by: feeding a nutritionally balanced diet; proper housing for protection from other animals and the elements (i.e., Buyer agrees puppy will be primarily an indoor pet); adequate daily exercise; proper containment when outdoors (fenced area or on a leash at all times) to avoid loss of the puppy by theft, running away, injury/death by other dogs/animals. Buyer agrees that he/she will NOT chain, tie, or otherwise mistreat the puppy. Buyer agrees to ensure the puppy has adequate opportunities for interaction/socialization with people. Buyer shall obtain professional grooming services for the life of the puppy to maintain coat/skin in healthy condition and prevent matting. Buyer shall obtain quality veterinary care for the physical welfare of the puppy for as long as the Buyer shall own it. Buyer is responsible for ALL medical expenses incurred for the puppy as long as the Buyer owns the puppy, including diagnostic procedures.
