In an attempt to minimize every type of potential problem for our puppy buyers, including stress, inconvenience and expense, to insure that our pups are properly raised, and to enable us to keep accurate health records with regard to our breeding program, we now require immediate notification of any behavior, health, or temperament problems. Failure to provide us with immediate notification of any potential behavior, health, or temperament problem will void any and all guarantees! The only problem exempt from this requirement is a life threatening medical emergency. In the case of a life-threatening emergency, we would like to be notified of the problem once the emergency has been dealt with. We can frequently provide you with very helpful input.If you have reason to suspect a health or development problem, call us immediately before you invest in expensive tests and/or therapies. Danes are gentle giants; they are quite intelligent and can be stubborn. When properly raised they are wonderful, loving pets.We will provide tips and evaluations for you at no charge. We expect you to take full advantage of our expertise. We do not want out pups to be ill-behaved adults! If you are having a bad day, your Dane may well out think you. It happens to us all the time.NEVER HESITATE TO CONTACT US EITHER BY PHONE OR EMAIL. If you call and our recorder answers, leave your name, your area code, and your number. We will call you back. If it is an emergency so state on the recorder and we will return your call as soon as we get the message. If a problem exists, we need to know about it immediately in order to provide meaningful input for resolution.
If for any reason you cannot keep your puppy, we reserve the right to be notified and may require you return the dog or puppy to Silver Sage Danes, Sam and Jenny Fife, in order to find it proper placement in a qualified home. At no time do we agree to refund money. All puppies have a ‘puppy replacement’ guarantee if they fall under our health clause. Any genetic defect causing death of the dog in the first 24 months. This must be determined through an autopsy with a licensed veterinarian. When proof of genetic cause of death is sent to us in writing we will replace your puppy with our next available litter of same quality puppies.
1.Failure to notify us immediately of any health, behavior or temperament problems will void your guarantee!
2.Sending your pup away from your for training will void your guarantee!
3. Allowing your vet to tack your pup’s stomach to the abdominal wall will void your guarantee!
4. Jogging your Dane will void your guarantee!
5. Taking your Dane off of heartworm medication or using the heartworm medication that is dosed once every six months will void your guarantee!
6. Failing to follow our puppy vaccination instructions will void your guarantee!
7. Placing your Dane in someone else’s home will void your guarantee!
Silver Sage Danes Puppy Contract
*Dogs or puppies said to have temperament problems will be evaluated by independent person, i.e. veterinarians or trainers. Failure to comply with any of the conditions of sale in the immediate return of the puppy/dog to the Seller at no cost to the Seller. The puppy/dog will be returned with any medical records as well as the registration papers. If the puppy/dog is returned to the Seller in any state of neglect, abuse, or is shown to be starved or maimed, the Purchaser will be held liable to the Seller for any and all costs incurred in order to restore the puppy/dog back to health.
Guarantee
The Seller guarantees the puppy against hip-elbow dysplasia, congenital hereditary problems, that would make said puppy/dog unsuitable as a pet up to 24 months of age. If the puppy/dog has passed away before 24 months of age, an autopsy must be performed at the Purchasers expense, to indicate that the puppy/dog died of congenital-hereditary problems. If the death is found to be caused by a congenital-hereditary problem, then the Seller will give a replacement puppy from the next available litter, but the Purchaser must pay for any additional shipping charges if any.
Under no circumstances does the Seller guarantee any preventable or accidental death, injury, or illness or any problems that are not genetic. Examples: failure to vaccinate on schedule or to follow protocol, treatment against heartworm or any other parasites, Hypertrophic Osteodystrophy, panosteitis, Demodetic Mange, failure to seek veterinarian treatment as needed, etc. Seller also does not guarantee puppy from illness or death caused by any cosmetic surgery. Guarantee is valid only if puppy is current on all vaccinations. Guarantee becomes void if it is determined by Seller’s vet that the illness or death of the puppy was due to neglect or abuse in any way. Bloat is not covered under this contract nor is any illness believed to be related to overfeeding, overfeeding high amounts of protein or over supplementation of vitamins and minerals. The Seller also does not guarantee, if going to a show home, that purchased puppy will win or place in shows or competitions. The Seller also does not guarantee, if going to a Dane breeder and being placed into a Dane breeding program that it will be able to produce offspring or reproduce.
Purchaser agrees to provide the Seller with updated pictures of the puppy/dog and allows the Seller to use said pictures on website with acknowledgements to the Purchaser. Seller also reserves the right to contact the Purchaser to inquire on how the puppy/dog is doing with his/her new family. If the Purchaser relocates to a new home, etc., Seller requests that the Purchaser contact her within 30 days with a new phone number, address, and email address(if available). In turn, the Purchaser can contact the Seller at any time with any questions or concerns.
