We have lived with Aussies for over thirty years and have seen many changes come through the breed from breeding strictly for conformation to breeding high-strung, overly rough dogs for working or trialing. Our goal is to raise old-style working Aussies that we and others will love to live with. We emphasize temperament, working instinct, and structure in that order. Our dogs specialize in working both cattle and goats on our farm, going hiking and canoeing in the Buffalo River National Park, and relaxing with us at the end of the day. While we have not personally trialed our dogs due to our busy schedule on the farm, they do have nationally ranked dogs in their immediate pedigree. We have trained a few of our dogs in agility, and our instructors have always been very impressed with how fast we have progressed and have pressed us to enter a few trials. Our dogs have the potential to excel at herding trials, agility, obedience, and any other performance venue.
Our placement preference for one of our dogs or puppies is: #1 a farmer looking for good help, #2 someone looking for a herding, agility, performance prospect, or #3 a loving, active family wanting a pet. We are happy to place one of our puppies in a home in the city provided the person/family understands that the dog will need LOTS of physical exercise, plenty of mental exercise (games, agility training, etc), and a secure environment where the dog positively can't escape to the road.
We will guarantee that our dogs will work or we will supply you a replacement. We have no history of hereditary defects in our dogs and provide a health guarantee policy of a puppy replacement or purchase refund if any congenital/hereditary problems are present including hip dysplasia, heart defects, and epilepsy.
