_____ I understand this puppy is AKC registerable.
_____ I agree to have this puppy examined by a Licensed Veterinarian within 10 days of purchase for infectious or contagious diseases.
_____I understand the basic day to day care of a puppy and will provide all medical, physical and emotional needs of this puppy. This puppy will not be an outdoor pet, be sold to a pet store or to a third party.
_____I understand that in the event I can no longer care for this puppy through out his or her life that I will contact Royal Crown Cavaliers, it is our goal to keep all of Royal Crown Cavaliers out of shelters, or in any unwanted situations.
_____ I have been given a copy of the Pennsylvania Purchaser Protection Act, a condensed version, and understand that as the buyer I do have rights in the event an illness or should a genetic defect occur, and will refer to the Pennsylvania Law should the need arise.
I Have three options should my puppy be diagnosed by a licensed Veterinarian with one of the following four genetic defects: Hip Dysplasia, Heart Murmers, Eye Dysplasia or Knee Luxation. The buyer has the option to choose only one of the following three choices. Keep in mind, Royal Crown Cavaliers reserves the right to have the puppy examined by our veterinarian to confirm any diagnosis covered.
_____1. Should the puppy be found to have one of the following genetic defects within his or her first year of life, I will be able to return the puppy for a full refund. Should this situation arise, I understand I will give Royal Crown Cavaliers 30 days to issue my refund once the puppy is returned along with the AKC papers and proof from a licensed Veterinarian of the genetic condition and the puppy has been examined by a Veterinarian of our choosing. The genetic defects covered under this are specifically Heart Murmers, Hip Dysplasia, Knee Luxation, or Eye Dysplasia. Should I choose to return the puppy, I agree to return the puppies AKC papers at the same time the puppy is returned. The only exception would be in the event the puppy died from one of the genetic defects listed, in which case neither the puppy or the papers need returned only the Veterinarians Statement of why the puppy died, along with supporting proof will need to be submitted.
_____ 2. As the buyer, I may choose to keep the puppy and receive one half of the original purchase price back, I understand once the Veterinarians findings of one of the four genetic defects listed in the above paragraph are submitted to the seller, the seller has had the puppy examined by a Veterinarian of their choice, that the seller has 30 days to give my refund. Only the puppy purchase price is included in the refund. The buyer will continue to be responsible for any vet costs for this puppy should this option be chosen.
_____3. I understand that I may return the puppy in exchange for a replacement puppy as one of the three options given under this agreement, if one of the genetic defects listed above should occur. Should I decide to receive a replacement puppy, I understand that I may have to wait for a suitable puppy. By suitable puppy, this means a puppy of equal value, and of the same breed. There is no guarantee on the replacement puppy, it=s markings or it=s gender. The seller will make reasonable attempts at replacing as closely as possible. Seller retains pick of the litter, but will replace the puppy with a littermate, should the need arise. In the event the seller is no longer breeding Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, this option will not be available. It is also known that puppies are not always immediately available and may incur a wait of up to one year. Seller will communicate when the next litter may arrive to assist the buyer.
_____ I understand I will need a Veterinarian's statement with regards to one of the above covered genetic conditions in order to receive my refund, receive one half of the purchase price back or a replacement puppy. I also understand that accidents are not covered.
_____ I understand that this guarantee is non-transferable. The seller is not responsible for any veterinarian fees accumulated on a returned or replaced puppy. Females are sold as companions only. We do not guarantee the ability of any of our dogs to reproduce, this is a risk the buyer assumes. We do not guarantee color, champion ability, size or temperament of any dog. Should any litigations arise I understand they will be held in Brookville, Pa 15825.
In closing, the seller has made a considerable effort to provide a healthy, beautiful and happy Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. At times conditions do arise and we would appreciate, open honest and considerate communications in the event either the Pennsylvania Puppy Protection Act or this agreement need to be exercised. We only want happy, responsible owners of one of our beautiful pups. Owning a Cavalier can and should be a wonderful experience and it is our true desire to provide you with that.
