In the past, I have belonged to the Central Michigan Collie Club, Obedience Training Club of Greater Lansing, Piedmont Collie Club and Chesapeake Collie Club. My membership in these organizations lapsed when I moved out of the area.
I am a head trainer for the Canine Good Citizen classes sponsored by the Humane Society of Calloway County
My job and resources limit my participation in shows and events. However, even with these restrictions, Meg (MonaRay’s Magna Cum Laude) and Claudia (MonaRay’s Claudia Pulchra) have earned International Championships from IABCA and have won points towards their AKC championships. Meg won her first points from the puppy class, going Best of Opposite Sex over a finished champion.
Both Meg and Claudia have earned herding titles, and every judge who has seen them has remarked on their intense drive and focus. Additional herding titles beyond the HT and PT are planned as a coming attraction.
Meg earned her Canine Good Citizen title at 8 months. Her obedience career has been delayed by inaction at the other end of the leash.
