This dog is guaranteed as follows:
1. To the best of my knowledge to be in good health; however, a licensed veterinarian finds this dog to be suffering from a serious health defect or disease within 72 hours of the sale (except those due to injury or neglect), the Buyer may return the dog with a certificate from the examining veterinarian and the full price will be refunded. Buyer assumes full responsibility for the health, appearance, and temperament of the dog until returned.
2. To be free of canine hip dysphasia, hereditary eye defects (that were not noted on the puppy’s pre-sale eye exam and that will cause significant loss of vision), and idiopathic epilepsy.
The Seller Agrees:
1. That if the dog is proven by OFA t have canine hip dysphasia, or proven by a canine ophthalmologist to have a hereditary eye defect (that was not noted on the puppy’s pre-sale eye exam and that will cause significant loss of vision), or determined by a veterinarian to have idiopathic epilepsy, the dog will be replaced with a puppy of equal or greater value within one year, or other time frame mutually agreed upon by both the Buyer and the Seller, at no cost to the Buyer (except shipping related charges if applicable). Buyer may either return the dog to the Seller or retain ownership of the dog.
The Buyer Agrees:
1. If the dog is to be offered for resale or re-homing, that the Seller has first option to repurchase or re-home the dog. IF YOU CANNOT KEEP THE DOG FOR ANY REASON, PLEASE CONTACT THE SELLER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE - DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GIVE THE DOG AWAY OR TAKE IT TO A SHELTER/RESCUE. If necessary, we will take full responsibility for the dog. Seller will repurchase the dog as follows: Under 6 months old at full purchase price; 6 months - 1 year at one half of the purchase price; After 1 year dog to be returned with no compensation to Buyer.
2. To properly provide the dogs basic physical needs: shelter, food, water and yearly routine medical care.
3. To train the dog in basic obedience skills, and to attend at least one basic obedience class with the dog, as well as, providing adequate socialization, and to contact Seller about any significant behavioral problems immediately.
4. To have the dog spayed or neutered at the appropriate age and to provide the Seller with a Certificate of Spay/Neuter from a licensed veterinarian. Once the certificate is received, registration papers will be released by Seller.
5. To have a blood sample taken at time of spaying/neutering to be sent to the University of Missouri DNA Project.
6. If the dog in this contract is found in any way to be abused physically or mentally, not receiving proper veterinary care, or is kept without shade/shelter, water or food, then the ownership shall be forfeited back to the Seller along with all registration papers signed over with all proper signatures.
7. To solely use the kennel name of Pinnacle in the dog’s registered name with no other prefixes or suffixes whatsoever.
