Lindel Shepherds
HEALTH GUARANTEE:
This puppy is to be examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of purchase.
Should the puppy be found to have a serious genetic or health defect, breeder is to be contacted within 8 hours of diagnosis, so arrangements can be made. Upon return of the defective puppy, along with AKC papers and written diagnosis, the buyer can request a replacement puppy of equal value or *full refund. Breeder is not responsible for vet bill. *puppy must be returned within 6 days of sale.
HIP DYSPLASIA:
Hip Dysplasia is a congenital malformation of the ball and socket joint of the hip. Alough there is no guarantee that every puppy will not get hip dysplasia, we are making every effort to avoid such an occurrence, by only using animals that have been x-rayed / certified. Our policies on replacement are as stated:
This guarantee is good until the last day of the month, that your dog becomes 2 years old. We will replace your puppy with another puppy of equal value if the puppy is found to have severe hip dysplasia in which the disease is crippling. The x-ray and or copy of the OFA report of diagnosis must be given to the breeder. If the breeder so chooses, she has the right to have the x-rays re-done by her veterinarian and submitted to OFA for a second opinion. (Many poor hip readings are inaccurate due to poor positioning by the veterinarian or their staff). If the buyer chooses to keep the puppy, proof of sterilization must be given before any replacement will be made by breeder.
In the event that a female conceives a litter / or a male sires a litter this guarantee becomes null and void.
Dogs which are obviously neglected, mistreated or abused WILL NOT BE REPLACED.
Dogs should not be ran excessively or jumped during crucial growing periods (until 18 mos old). Running your puppy excessively or doing jumping will also make this guarantee null and void.
Do not allow your puppy to jump from elevated areas, or on concrete until they are at least 12 months of age.
NOTE: To aid in prevention of hip dysplasia and Pano, it is recommended to give
puppies 500mg of Vitamin C daily until 6 months of age, then increasing the amount
to 1000mg.
LIMITED REGISTRATION:
The buyer understands that the puppy is being sold as a PET and is being sold with limited registration, meaning that any offspring of the dog cannot be registered with AKC. Limited registration can still compete in AKC obedience trials, and all are loving, loyal companions.
