Pet puppy contract:
The dog is guaranteed to be of sound health and temperament at time of sale and has been vaccinated and wormed regularly. The dog may for health reasons be returned to Seller within 07 days of time of sale. If dog is returned, examination must be made by a licensed veterinarian at the expense of Buyer, and a certified statement of diagnosis must be furnished to Seller. Buyer shall assume full responsibility for the health, anatomical make-up, appearance and temperament of the above described dog following said 07 day period.
Buyer agrees that puppy will be spayed or neutered no earlier than 8 months of age and no later than 12 months of age regardless of what Buyer’s veterinarian says. Buyer will supply a proof of spay/neuter to the Seller. Buyer realizes that AKC/ASCA papers will be a limited registration only. Buyer agrees that this dog will not be used for breeding unless the limited status is removed by the breeder at her discretion. Buyer agrees to contact seller if any medical condition arises that may be considered genetic.
The dog is sold as a “pet quality” dog. Buyer agrees to give this dog the best life possible. Buyer agrees to contact seller if any medical condition arises that may be considered genetic.
Buyer agrees to train the dog basic obedience skills, and to attend at least one basic obedience course with the dog.
If the Buyer is for any reason no longer able to keep the dog, Seller has the first option to take the dog.
The dog is guaranteed against hereditary hip dysplasia that causes lameness (contingent on proper weight maintenance); and hereditary eye defects which interfere with proper vision; or any proven hereditary disease. If any of these conditions occurs by 24 months of age, the puppy will be replaced by a puppy/dog of equal value (to be chosen by Seller), with a certified statement by a licensed veterinarian furnished to Seller and upon the return of the above described dog.
If the dog is used for breeding or transfers ownership, this guarantee becomes null and void.
