Sedona Borzoi sits on a bluff above Lake Wilderness in Washington State. We have been owned and loved by borzoi for over 18 years. We began our breeding program 4 years ago with our first litter. We breed for health, temperment and correct structure to the AKC standard for exceptional show and companion borzoi. We will only be breeding every 4 years or so as we keep our borzoi as house dogs and do not have large numbers. Our dogs are our children first then spirited and competitive show partners. We take pride in knowing that we started our foundation with a top sire and dam from Rising Star and Mariza kennels. Our lines are comprised of influential kennels: RISING STAR - KISHNIGA - CRESCENT - STONEBAR - SIRHAN. Our goal is to preserve and maintain the old borzoi "type" that was established by these fine kennels while producing stunning borzoi of sound mind and body that are built to perform. I am an active member of the Puget Sound Borzoi club. I show my own borzoi and have most recently campaigned a male from my first litter COOPER - BISS AM CAN CH SEDONA CLOUD DANCER to the #4 BORZOI BREED - #5 BORZOI ALL BREED SYSTEMS for 2007. We were the #1 BREEDER/OWNER HANDLED BORZOI for 2007 as well. Our first litter of 11 (one unable to show due to an injury at birth) has performed exceptionally well with 6 American Champions and the other 4 close behind. We fully expect to finish 10 from the litter. Also in this first litter are a Specialty Winner, multiple Group winner and multiple Group placers. Cooper's sister was only shown 16 times and finished in the top 11. We are very excited and proud of our first litter and excited about our next planned breeding that will take place Spring of 2009. We will always take any dog we breed back no matter what their age and stand by the health of our dogs as well.
