DUNROBIN COLLIES (dunrobin2@aol.com) came to be in 1978 after 10 years of breeding and showing Shetland Sheepdogs. The magnificent beauty and mellow temperament of the Rough Collie won us over. There probably is not a more beautiful canine face than that of a correct Collie. When you add a glorious coat on a well built body, it is a sight to behold. Brains, herding ability, and a loving personality make the Collie a trusted friend and companion. Lassie stories are loved because people can believe them. Collie charisma sets them apart.
We have always used quality Collies from top breeding lines. As we work with our current dogs, Collies from our past remain important. They have taught us a lot. Our beloved Ch. Twin Creeks Piece of the Rock was the epitome of the gentle, loving friend who filled our eyes with beauty. Ch. Twin Creeks Xanadu had an unforgettable face. Character and spunk made Ch. Twin Creeks Memories a delightful companion. Countless others contributed to our vision of the standard of perfection.
We breed with quality, temperament and health as priorities. Our pet Collies are from the same litters that include show dogs. We breed tricolor, blue merle and sable Rough Collies. Our puppies today come down from littermates Ch. Dunrobin Misty Blue, Ch. Dunrobin Tri to Follow Me, and Ch. Dunrobin Wind B'Neth My Wings. We use top stud dogs from all over the country to produce quality offspring.
Pet puppies are sold on AKC Limited Registration to homes where they will be given the life they deserve. We often have adults available as pets. All dogs have their eyes checked by a veterinary ophthalmologist and are appropriately immunized and wormed. Show prospects are usually sold as young puppies but we do grow out puppies and sometimes have an adolescent available. Videotapes and pedigrees will be sent upon request to those interested in show pups or breeding stock. Adults appropriate for breeding are sold to credible individuals willing to follow advice.
