Springmist Collies Health Guarantee Agreement
Springmist Collies, also referred to as Seller, guarantees the health of our collies against hereditary defects that may arise without our knowledge. The health of the collie puppy/dog you, also referred to as Buyer, purchased is covered for 2 years, at which time hips, thyroid, major hereditary testing can be performed.
We recommend that you take your puppy/dog to your veterinarian during the first 72 hours of possession. Have the puppy/dog’s health checked and should he/she not be as healthy as we believe, have your veterinarian sign a statement that the puppy/dog is not in good health, reason why, and send that to us. We will refund the purchase price as long as you see your veterinarian within the first 72 hours of possession.
Should your puppy/dog have an illness or disease that is proven to be hereditary, please contact Springmist Collies immediately so we can discuss the problem. Please be prepared to have a veterinarian’s statement handy to mail to us so that we can gain better understanding of the situation. Should your puppy/dog be affected with an illness or disease that will render it from being a good companion pet, Springmist Collies will exchange the puppy/dog with another one of equal value. Please allow up to 1 year for time to go through the reproduction process. Should you decide to keep the puppy/dog and not turn it over to us, then you will be responsible for all charges incurred for that puppy/dog, however, you may still have another puppy.
If you bought a pet quality puppy, you are required to have it neutered or spayed. The pet is not seen as a breeding or show prospect by Springmist Collies, therefore, by signing below you understand that you will have until the puppy is 8 months old to have the operation done. Should you not have this done and decide to breed the pet, you will be charged $1000 per litter for breaking our agreement. Afterward, please send a copy of your bill from your veterinarian back to us. Thank you, we appreciate your cooperation. We feel that pets that are bred for the sake of breeding 2 collies together adds to the already overstocked humane groups that try finding pets homes. In the future should you want to try your hand at breeding show collies, we welcome you to notify us and we will see what we can do to help you. Remember, we are not here to take you for granted; we are here to find our puppies loving, kind homes.
You also agree to keep the puppy current on his/her shots, worming, heartworm and flea protection. In addition, please do not forget to take your puppy for a once a year physical and shots to keep him/her healthy and happy. After all, he/she chose you to be his/her close friend and to protect him/her from outside sources.
Should you decide you no longer want the puppy/dog please notify Springmist Collies, we would like the option to welcome him/her back.
